Independent Living Skills Training

Our program is designed to help people with disabilities in learning new and healthy independent living abilities.  Our staff works directly with the consumer to teach these new skills through hands-on instruction.  Together they write an independent living plan to meet individual needs, such as self-esteem, meal planning, financial management, obtaining housing and transportation, and socialization.

Individual and Services Advocacy

We teach consumers how to make their voices heard by assisting people with disabilities to understand their rights and responsibilities and advocate at the local, state, and federal levels.

Information and Referral Services

Our services are available to anyone in the community who has a disability-related question or need. Consumers and family members are provided with assistance to utilize accessible resources and/or referrals to agencies in the community for people with disabilities.

Peer Mentoring

Peer mentorship is a wonderful way to learn from others’ knowledge and skills. It provides personal support and socialization to promote opportunities for successful independent living. We provide family support helping to build and sustain positive healthy relationships.

Transition Services

We provide transition services that prepare youth ages 14-24, to move to adult life. Assist people with disabilities to transition from nursing homes and other institutional settings back to their homes and community.
