Deaf And Hard of Hearing Outreach

Provides information on services and resources for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Services include:

Facilitates school and community inclusion for all children with disabilities. Provides information and guidance on special education and transition services.

Transition-Coordination

Personal Assistance Services

Service Facilitation for Consumer-Directed services under the Medicaid Waivers. Maintains a registry of available personal assistants. Contact Virginia Medicaid Mentor Tennie Gratz, tgratz@cildrc.org.

ADA Leadership Network

The dRC’s Advocacy Director is trained on the Americans with Disabilities Act and provides guidance on ADA issues.  Free ADA training is available to all, and can be customized to meet your needs, including:

  • Understanding the ADA
  • Getting hired and moving ahead in a job
  • Hiring people with disabilities: tapping into talent
  • Serving customers with disabilities
  • Accessibility in Federal, State and Municipal entities
  • Reaching individuals with disabilities: Accessibility in private or commercial businesses
  • Accessible technology in the workplace
  • Accessible websites

Culpeper Outreach

Through a grant from the Virginia State Independent Living Council, the dRC provides information and outreach to the city and county of Culpeper, Madison County, Orange County, and the lower part of Rappahannock County.  The dRC is working to form a coalition of individuals who are interested in developing a Center of Independent Living in this area of Virginia.  Please contact Brenda Boggs at bboggs@cildrc.org.
