Wednesday Afternoon Live! (For individual adults with disabilities age 18 and older and their caregiver or friend)

Wednesday Afternoon Live is a mixture of events promoting independent living that we hope will interest you!  Whether it’s a fun activity, social time or learning a new skill – it’s Wednesday Afternoon Live!  Wednesday, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., at the dRC. Space is limited; please RSVP at least one day prior to each event, tstephens@cildrc.org, 540-373-2559.

WAL  include:

May 24 – Money, Money, Money – Learn how to budget your money with some pointers supplied by the Virginia Cooperative Extension

May 31 – Bark and Bubbles – Come learn how to bathe your pet at Bark and Bubbles in the Southpoint shopping area in Spotsylvania

June 7 – Riding Around Town – Learn about public transportation and  how to ride FRED bus.

June 14 – What’s Growing in Your Garden – Learn about planting and growing your own garden.

June 21 – Out and About and Keeping Safe – Learn how to be aware of your surroundings and how to keep safe when you are out and about around town.

June 28 – Taking Care During the Sunny Summer – Protect yourself against the harsh summer rays with the tips from our speaker.

July 5 – Birthday Celebration – Come and help “Solve the Puzzle.”
